Review on Maximize Your Protection At The Plate With Rawlings MACH EXTENSION Batting Helmet by Tim Springer

Bought this for my 10 year old baseball player. I bought the Senior size because my kid has a decent sized dome and I didn't want it to be too small. I think we tried one on at Dick's but theirs did not have the flap. So it sits a little big on him. Once on a tag play the bill of the helmet got pushed down onto his nose and he didn't like it. He could opt to wear a hat underneath the helmet if he wants it to fit more snug.I like the helmets with the flap. Obviously more protection is better and it helps their confidence while reducing (not eliminating) the chances of a really bad face injury. More and more professionals are starting to use these. Make sure you order based on which side your batter hits (righty or lefty).I'm not always a big fan of Rawlings but I do like the helmet.
