When the Jeep dealership tried to convince me I needed a fuel system cleaning to the tune of hundreds of dollars I thought I'd give Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner a try. I bought two and used them on two subsequent tanks of gas (with a nearly empty tank before adding new gasoline), upgrading the grade of gasoline used when I did so in my 2017 Jeep Cherokee.Initially, I noticed a bit more pep and less hesitancy. with the first batch. My mileage in town did not change, but on the freeway, I gained a couple of miles per gallon after using this product. The second bottle maintained what the first had accomplished, and my in-town mileage improved slightly too. Acceleration starts, and general performance seemed better after the second round.I'm now on my third tank which doesn't have the cleaner in it. I've noticed no difference in performance, but recently took a road trip where acceleration was smooth and there was no pushing the button to start the car and having it die, which prior to the use of this product had been an issue.I think this stuff does do something to clean up the fuel, but repetitive use may be needed to maintain the vehicle's performance. How frequent? I suspect that would depend upon the age of your vehicle and the gasoline's quality, and only one of those things is under your control.While not magical, definitely worth giving it a try if your vehicle is stalling, showing signs of lack of engagement when the accelerator is depressed, or generally sluggish.
