Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.
The journey to Hawaii (where the weather was different and a stormy wind and heavy rain revealed its nice side) left a favorable impression. But if I had to pick a tent all over again, I'd go with a hemisphere.
- Light. Not a lot of room is needed. Easy and fast to put together (after you get the hang of it). Acceptable construction; resists moisture. Backpacks can be stored in a vestibule.
- The design's obvious drawbacks include the fact that it requires regular soil to place the pegs, without which it would not stand (installation on rocky ground will take considerably longer time) and the necessity of using stones and ties to secure the structure. There is only one route in and out, so you'll have to be flexible if you need to use the restroom late at night.
