Review on Keep Time In Silence: 12 Inch HITO Wall Clock With Smart Nightlight And Brightness Adjustability by Gordie Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

EASILY READ IN THE DARK

The large numerals and clock hands are illuminated when the room is fairly dark. Brightness is adjustable from off to maximum setting. Setting adjustment to halfway gives a useable light for us and, hopefully, will extend battery life. Easy to read in both day and night. Attractive matte silver finished case surrounds black clock face with white numerals. Clock is light in weight, making hanging easy. Which leads to my only complaint: For the price, I would like to have seen a hanger included.Clock was nicely boxed and a foam sleeve and bubble wrap protected it. Received with no damage. We just got this so I can't review battery life or accuracy yet. Stay tuned.Update: The clock has been operating 2 or 3 mos. now and I've noticed it flickering twice. So far, a sharp knuckle rap seems to fix it. Seems to be a connection is poor. If it gets no worse, we're still satified.Update 2: We have had this for 6 mos. now. Has flickered twice more since last update & a tap to the back still cures it. The time remains absolutely accurate on same battery. Just replaced batteries for the backlight at 6 mos. Brightness was set at about 50 - 66%. The light began dimming about 2 wks ago as the batteries depleted. Still satisfied with purchase, despite occasional flicker, as noted above.Update 3: 10 months have gone by. Flickering was extreme last week, including complete blackouts for extended length of time. I took it off the wall and gave it some really sharp smacks. Also ran the brightness adjustment back and forth a couple of times. Has run fine since then but my opinion of it is dropping. It's not even a year old! I've dropped my rating to 3 stars.
