I will give it a 3 because it was extremely easy to install as well as ended up being basically the perfect size for my balcony and i actually probably will buy one more HOWEVER. this is more of a slight shade blocker more than privacy. I do feel a bit better with it there especially if my son wants to play on the deck but you CAN definitely still see through it pretty well from both sides, especially the outside looking in. I went outside to check and I would basically see almost just as well as without it. A lot more sheer than I was expecting.
