I've had absolutely bad experience using this on a Factory 02 Lancer Es tie rod. I would have to use a surface grinder to thin out one of the end pieces to fit the factory tie rod. I had to buy tools in the form of universal clamps to loosen them and then manually remove them. This worked on the secondary tie rod, but the detents would hit the frame and the locking mechanism would loosen due to scratching the frame. So I had to sand down the tabs so they wouldn't hit the frame. I could probably use a jack to raise the engine but it was busy. It is not designed for very limited space. Doesn't look like the end pieces will last long when using a percussion gun. I would recommend only using hand tools like pry bars and ratchets.
