Not designed for cold winters

It's well made but looks like a ski jacket without the thickness. Would like better insulation. I bought this for my son as a winter coat and it's a fall/spring coat at best.

Pros
  • Made from high quality materials for durability
Cons
  • Material does not wick sweat

Warm and comfortable the best in my rating

Impressed with this coat! My 10 year old son loves it and it keeps him warm at the start of our Wisconsin winter. It fits him well and he has no problem with the zipper. It goes well with mittens and winter trousers. Looks very good!

Pros
  • Lightweight yet warm, this great looking coat allows you to exercise in the great outdoors.
Cons
  • Zipper breaks easily

Slim fit fits me better

This is a very thin jacket. I wouldn't call it a coat and it certainly won't be warm enough at -20 as the label says. He drowns my son too. His arms are twice as long when he lowers his arms. He's small, I bought a small and he looks like an M/L to him (he's an average height and weight). We bought the grey-blue because we liked it.

Pros
  • Warm and hard! Great for boys!!!
Cons
  • Bad size

Great jacket and very durable. Warm and cozy. I like the cuffs for my son to keep the snow from rising. Very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Appears to be of good quality. This is a gift /
Cons
  • The hood is not detachable

great jacket, well cut, comfortable and mobile

Update January 3, 2020 We stayed in the Great Smoky Mountains for Christmas. We went to Maggie's Valley to snowboard and check out the ski area. Some of my kids had Columbia gear, I had Eddie Bauer, one had a Revain Basics down jacket, and my youngest son had this jacket and matching bibs. We all stayed warm, but he was the only one who stayed completely dry. He doesn't sweat much now and that might be a factor but we had a drizzle at the end of our hoses, my sons got wet in the Columbia…

Pros
  • La fermeture eclair tres mauvais!
Cons
  • Material prone to pilling

A little big: my review

I ordered for my 5 year old son who is a bit taller and it was still very bad. They weren't a size 6 when I ordered so I had to choose another brand.

Pros
  • Comes in bright lime green that kids will love.
Cons
  • The zipper easily adheres to the fabric

The perfect outfit for outdoor adventures

This jacket is ideal for an active child who enjoys winter sports. It's an incredibly durable material that doesn't sacrifice warmth, water or wind resistance. At the same time it is still incredibly soft, light. It also offers maximum flexibility so that the child can move freely while skiing or snowboarding. It looks and fits great and has a very modern and cool color scheme too.

Pros
  • It has a laconic and stylish design that will please both boys and girls.
Cons
  • The hood doesn't fit

Very nice jacket for a boy!

An amazing quality boys jacket that looks and feels fantastic. It's light, so hardly suitable for winter. But for fall-spring it works great! My son loves it and wears it all the time!

Pros
  • It has 85 grams of ThermaTech insulation specifically designed to keep kids warm.
Cons
  • Doesn't blend well with layers

Difficult to find the right size

Confused by the size. Too small for my son considering he's not a big kid anyway. Very disappointed that we couldn't choose the size due to the confusion in the tables.

Pros
  • It has multiple pockets for hands, cell phones and hats.
Cons
  • Hem is not elastic

Great coat! to my rating.

I have an 8 year old son and he loves it! I love all bags! The perfect place to hang those gloves. I love that it has room for my son's name and a full thumb to keep him warm. The sleeves are sewn in and made of a very thick sweater material. This will keep him very warm. Great coat!

Pros
  • It has a universal design that can be worn by both boys and girls.
Cons
  • False advertising of jacket features

This weekend was the coldest weather of the year and having just had our first chance to try the Arctix jacket I have to say it was a hit with my boys. This is a jacket with a very thick pile that is amazingly cold resistant yet breathable and allows my little man to move to his fullest. It has a great design and can withstand sub-zero temperatures, which is not uncommon in our harsh New England weather. Overall I am very happy with this winter jacket so far and the fabric, stitching and fit…

Pros
  • This coat was a Christmas present for my great grandson. It's beautifully made and he says it keeps him warm.
Cons
  • Insulation is uneven

Wonderful jacket the best in my rating

The jacket fits well although it is too big. The sleeves have padded wrists and Velcro closures. The hood fits snugly to the head when worn. The quality of the seams and zippers is very good. The jacket is well insulated and waterproof. There are four pockets: an inner lower mesh pocket, an outer upper chest pocket, and two outer lower pockets. Inside is a label to sign your child's name. The design and color are absolutely beautiful. I like that. This jacket holds up well in winter.

Pros
  • Equipped with a windbreak and a chin guard to avoid chafing and irritation.
Cons
  • Lightning doesn't stay in place

Light and roomy but warm

This coat fits just as expected. It is spacious and light so that the child does not get bogged down while playing. It warms and keeps cold air out. It is easy to care for and durable.

Pros
  • My son is 12 and usually wears a size 16/18. I buy his normal size but had to go back a size up.
Cons
  • Bought this coat for my 5 year old. I thought it was great for our Mn winter until the zip broke in early February.

Looks great - works a little

I bought this jacket for my 10.5 year old son who is tall and slim for his age. The jacket fits him perfectly. It's warm and water-repellent. I think for a snowboard it will be too tight in the shoulders and hips and lack the zippers and pit pockets that come in handy in the mountains. Red is a really great color and suits him!

Pros
  • My son is 10 and has a large, what a great jacket, perfect for the Vancouver weather.
Cons
  • Hem is not adjustable

Thin but warm winter coat

I was a little disappointed when I received this coat because they sent me the wrong color (red instead of blue). It also turned out to be pretty small for AVERAGE. However, when my almost 11-year-old son put it on, it fit him very well. I would say that next year it might be too small for him, but at least this year he will be able to wear it. He is very thin and of average height for a ten year old. The coat is not too bulky and appears thinner compared to some other children's winter coats…

Pros
  • Machine washable and tumble dry for easy care
Cons
  • The material does not feel soft

Ideal. - My review

My 8 year old son loves this coat so much that when we first gave it to him he wore it at home over the summer. We turned on the air conditioning in his room one night because he wanted to see how warm it would keep him and he liked it. He wanted to sleep in it, it was so comfortable. I love the fit, the colors, the look and feel.

Pros
  • This is a very warm and light jacket. The only issue I have is that the zipper occasionally gets stuck inside.
Cons
  • Poor tailoring quality

Pocket my pros and cons

Got this for my son. He likes the look and says it's warm. But what we really like is the number of pockets - you can't have too many, I always say. But in the case of my son, he is diabetic and these bags have become very useful for storing his various supplies. Definitely recommend. dig the ground?

Pros
  • Has a comfortable and relaxed fit that allows freedom of movement
Cons
  • Not enough pockets

Excellent winter jacket for children

This jacket is a good winter jacket. It's warm but not too thick. It has a bright color (easy to find on the ski slopes) and has nice zipped pockets as well as inside pockets. It can be machine washed. The most important thing is that it fits in size. Some other brands are oversized. This one fits as expected. Good jacket. I plan to buy the next size up when they run out.

Pros
  • My grandson loved it, nice and warm. A little big but that's ok, kids grow up fast.
Cons
  • Sleeves are too long

Love it! my rating of my rating.

I bought it for my eight year old son. This keeps it fairly warm and dry this northeastern winter. He likes the color and is holding up well. All in all a great purchase.

Pros
  • Nice design, but not for winter
Cons
  • Do not machine wash

Warm and cozy

This lined spruce jacket from Arctix for boys is perfect for the weather we live in. It does a great job and definitely keeps you warm. Sometimes it's even too warm. It has an attached adjustable hood and adjustable cuffs. 3 pockets on the front of the jacket, 1 on the inside of the jacket. All the zippers work great, as does the velcro. Made of high quality material, well stitched, no defects. point price. Like this brand a lot. We already have several coats and we love them all. The design…

Pros
  • Offers excellent value for money
Cons
  • Not enough sizes available
