Poor fit and missing clips

It was too big and didn't come with the clips pictured. Instead of knurled metal clips, the kit included 2 black plastic cable ties. I've added hose clamps and it looks like they'll work fine, at least to keep mud and water out.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

A misleading image.

The silicone case for the kit is actually very good, but the problem I have is that the display shows steel clips that hold the case in place when you open the case and put your hand in the stuck in the trunk. They have nylon zippers. as shown in the ad.

Cons

False parts advert

Why the picture shows metal straps that's why I ordered them you pay more I thought because of those straps but I got zip ties not what is shown in the picture so is that wrong advertising, i knew it was tie bands that i would have bought cheaper

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative is present

Fake advertising

The metal clips shown in the photo were not included with the boot/bellows. Cheap plastic straps were included instead. I wouldn't order them if I knew. This is nothing but a scam. It's better to buy fur from an honest seller.

Pros
  • Probationary period for one year
Cons
  • Disappearance

Did the trick! - Rack and pinion

They did exactly what I needed, a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer 4WD. In my opinion, they are actually a bit long, but they fit and protect my steering gear from dirt. 3 stars for durability (will try to come back in 14 years and see if they've held up as well as the factory!).

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Only one page is included.

Shame on me! I didn't read the reviews and found that the 'mech kit' had a 'mech and not a complete rack and pinion kit. Should have studied better. Pretty expensive for one compared to some others. They never claimed there were two of them, and the picture only showed one. Was it my fault for not checking?

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

Good for the price but too long for my truck

I did this work by cutting off about 1/3 of the rear bellows so it's ok but it's really too long for any stick automobile. I don't see how it would work on something as is. I would like a shorter version. At least it works. Remember to lubricate the side that goes over the inner tie rod to help with alignment. Otherwise it will twist with the tie rod and get caught.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • There are problems

great replacement

I needed a new tie rod end for my 2002 Envoy and a new boot to replace the old one which was torn so the tie rod end blew in the first place. There was no local trunk for my car and GM charged over $100 for this simple rubber part. I'm so glad I found this bellows kit (only trunk and 2 forks but they call it a kit) that fits my car perfectly. It seems to be good essential quality and it has saved me a lot of money.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Check out the LATEST reviews!

The product image shows that it comes with 2 special clamps needed to install the bellows. IT IS NOT! It comes with zippers. Anyone who repairs their car knows that cable ties don't work well for this type of replacement. The zippers break and don't provide the proper seal that the special clips provide. I never thought Centric would make such a crappy replacement just to save pennies. This will NOT make the PRODUCT LONG-LASTING!
