Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I have been choosing winter tires for the 2022/2022 season for a long time. Planned to operate in the city with occasional trips out of town. After an unsuccessful, as I think, purchase of Velcro, Dunlop, which did not drive at all in the snow, was going to buy a spike. After reading the reviews and weighing all the pros and cons, I chose the Continental Viking Contact7 205/60 R16. So far I have never regretted the purchase. So far, I have not been able to try the rubber only on deep snow and…

Pros
  • Low noise level, good handling on slush
Cons
  • So far it has not been possible to test in extreme conditions - ice sprinkled with snow

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

I put tires on a new Volvo s60 t5 awd. so far, the operating experience is only 1000 km, but it has already been possible to ride on all types of winter surfaces. region of use - St. Petersburg and the region. I can say that this is the first experience of riding Velcro. before that, was also a skeptic and lover of Hakki 8-9 series. The conclusions are as follows - I did not think that it could be so good. there was already ice rain, slush, thaw, frost after thaw, snowy rolled roads, snow with…

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

This is the softest rubber I've ridden on. Handling is excellent, braking and accelerating on any surface (within reason). I put it after the spikes, and I could not believe that the rubber could be so quiet. The first feeling was that the car is standing still, took in the amount of 205/60/16. I made no mistake with the choice. I recommend it to everyone, premium is premium. I wish it was cheaper, but it's worth every dollar spent.

Pros
  • Silence, softness, smoothness, handling
Cons
  • Price

For 8 seasons in the winter I rode a continental with spikes, there were no questions about handling and cross-country ability, the only thing was the desire to wait for spring faster and throw off noisy and heavy sneakers. After wearing these Velcro joy there is no limit. Auto CR-V. I recommend everyone who has crossovers to switch from spikes to Velcro. During this winter, there have already been all the options for events, sleet, frost without snow, frost with snow, ice. Everything is fine !

Pros
  • Comfort, quiet, handling, patency.
Cons
  • Didn't find

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

You know, I have not received such positive emotions from winter tires for a very long time. I had a studded ekogama, miserable cordians, an indistinct henkook Velcro, after which I vowed never to buy Velcro. With the car got Toyo g3 studded, good enough. But compared to these continentals, all that was, all this is amno, even if you make allowances for the spikes. On the Continental, I strongly noticed the complete absence of noise from the rubber. In urban mode, one gets the impression that…

Pros
  • Quiet, very quiet Excellent grip in the snow, whether loose or hard packed
Cons
  • On the ice, you need to drive more slowly, but we don’t constantly drive on the winter road in order to worry about it a lot.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

This is my first experience with friction winter tires. An interesting effect: it seems that there is never a rigid connection between the wheels and the road (even dry and relatively clean), everything is somehow softer and smoother (without a significant difference in reactions compared to summer tires), but it is convenient to drive a car and comfortable. Chose between these Continental and two other options: Goodyear UltraGrip Ice 2 NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA R2 I began to look for a reason to…

Pros
  • Obedience, controllability. Low noise level, at first it even seemed that the engine began to work louder. They roll much easier than spikes. They slip, of course, but it is almost always easy for the vestibular apparatus to determine this and predictably control the trajectory of movement (of the electronic assistants on my car, there is only ABS). The patency is much better than the studded Gislaved, but somewhat worse than the studded Continental (compare with Nord Frost 100 and the first generation ContiIceContact). Made in Germany.
Cons
  • From size 195/65 R15 95T XL expected a greater difference in ride than from summer wheels in size 205/55 R16 91H (normal pressure). I had to glue a lot of weights when balancing (new forged wheels). The distance must be maintained with a margin, because. move in the stream and on the track, these tires allow you to quickly and frivolously, which dampens and lulls vigilance. You should also avoid steep icy descents or ascents with a limited dynamic corridor, lack of freedom in maneuvering and the ability to take such obstacles at once, because. traction on ice is present (and sometimes even surprising), but it has natural limitations compared to spikes. Although this is more a consequence of the habit of driving in winter exclusively on studded tires. The restaurant price is even more expensive than the pretentious Nokian, all other things being equal.

Previously, I always drove a Michelin and thought that if the expensive one means the best, I looked at the tests and was surprised that the Michelin lost to the Continental in the tests and the price is clearly different from the Michelin, I bought myself a 235 / 45R18 I thought it would be tight, everyone said that the low profile means tough, I drove before that on a 17 diameter and I thought that the difference would appear immediately, but to my surprise, I didn’t feel the difference at…

Pros
  • The rubber is very quiet, I drive a Lexus and for me any noise is a concern and Dis comfort honestly took the rubber on my mind the sellers recommended it as the best rubber for my requests, thanks to the sellers
Cons
  • I think any rubber has its + and - but so far I can only say that I am completely satisfied, the main thing is to run the rubber in 🙂

I skated for one season on goodrich g-force stud 185/65 R15 bush spikes, which I got as a gift. In terms of grip properties, they were satisfied, although they did not show super results, but this is understandable since there are spikes only on the sides. Once I almost flew sideways onto the track from the accelerating lane when leaving the gas station, relying on spikes. At the same time, the tires, although they were soft and comfortable at the joints, made a lot of noise (additional…

Pros
  • Very quiet tire, quite comfortable on the joints and bumps. Good braking properties on various surfaces, even on icy areas (arrivals and departures to yards, gas stations, etc.) behave with dignity. Acceleration and lateral grip are slightly worse, but also at a high level (for friction clutches). Very predictable behavior, front axle drift or rear axle skid occurs smoothly (if there are no aggravating factors), well controlled in and out of a skid (with timely and correct steering). Confidently holds the road at high speed, is not afraid of changing lanes through snow drifts or porridge even 10-15 cm high (of course, you need to work smoothly with the steering wheel and maintain traction when changing lanes and returning to the lane). Rides well in the snow. Balanced normally
Cons
  • Noticeable lateral drift in icy areas on rough roads or in a turn (appears at low speed). There is a little lack of directional stability (compared to summer tires), you have to taxi more on the track (but this is apparently a problem with all directional winter tires). There may be problems when starting off into a snowy or icy hill (it is better to take such a coaster). Compared to spikes, they are less informative when drifting / skidding (Spikes, even with a slight drift, begin to scratch on the asphalt, letting the driver understand the grip limit, while Velcro quietly and gently “float away” from the trajectory). The tire, like all Velcro, works well when it rolls on the surface. As soon as strong sliding begins (slip, blocking on braking or side drift), grip on icy surfaces noticeably deteriorates. Therefore, I consider the presence of ABS and ESP a necessary condition for the safe use of these tires (as well as all friction clutches)

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Granta 175/65/14 My first Velcro, before that only spikes. To say that I am crazy is an understatement. I always thought that Velcro for all-wheel drive, how can you now generally change to a car with studded tires? The level of comfort, even on a grant, has grown to the level of Camry 3.5 (my personal opinion, the gun race is all business). Loose snow rows, confidently moves uphill. Naturally, they are led into heavy ice, but here the spikes leave the chat. In general, you can wear them…

Great product, best quality.

205/55/16. octavia a7 car There are few reviews. End of October: no snow and ice yet, but first impressions are: Bought maybe looking for a quiet, soft tires with good performance for the city. In terms of noise, the tires are very impressive, I have never had such a silent rubber. Even the Nokian rs2, which I would call quiet and soft, is still noisier, although it would never have occurred to me to call it noisy. Continental up to 40-50 km / h on dry good asphalt is simply not audible at…

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

Good afternoon! I wanted to leave a review about the tires Continental VikingContact 7! I bought tires on a Lexus GS300 in the amount of 235/45 R18, the tires were very pleased with their comfort, they are quieter and softer than my previous tires, they showed themselves very well on the first snow, although the rear-wheel drive, I rode confidently on it, I even forgot that such to slow down on turns! overall very pleased with the rubber, did not regret that I bought it! I can safely put her 5+

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

225/50 17. Germany. Honda accord 9. Speaking of winter tires, you should remember that it is winter. Those. if you are a "very sharp guy", you will probably be slippery on any tire. When driving normally, at a calm or moderately active pace, the Viking performs just fine. Yes, it will slip on slippery surfaces (unbelievable, right?) If you press the pedal hard, like any other tire, it is not magical. But the grip it gives is enough in all situations and on all winter surfaces. The exception is…

Pros
  • Soft Quiet Excellent grip on any surface With a decrease in temperature, it only reveals its properties better.
Cons
  • Not detected

The purchase was very satisfied! The first thing that caught my eye after installing the tires was the silence and comfort when driving, especially after the spikes. Stability and handling on the road are also at the highest level. I was worried that the car would slow down worse, but even here the tires showed themselves perfectly: they stop the car faster than many studded analogues! As a result, I’ll say that the impressions of the purchase were only good, the seller did not deceive with the

Pros
  • Silence, comfort, predictable behavior of the car on the road!

Went to NN this winter. There is a lot of snow, I just could feel what the manufacturer says. In the snow, the car drives confidently. On the same level as with the Hakkapelitta 8 spikes. Rows only on the way. Perhaps Kidiaq contributes to this himself. He climbed mountains full of snow. In general, I did not feel flawed, disadvantaged in the absence of spikes. Its pros: The tires are quiet, I felt it as soon as I changed the car's shoes from the summer Scorpion Verde. Holds the road well On…

Not worth the money, I will not advise this product.

After reading positive reviews, I bought this rubber for Skoda Octavia 1.8T 180 hp in size 205/55 R16. First impressions, soft and quiet. But soon there was no limit to the disappointment of rubber. Handling is poor, it pulls in a rut, with very dynamic acceleration on asphalt, the car literally scours so that you only have time to catch the trajectory with the wheel. Some stunning confidence on the ice and snowy track was not felt. But the most important thing for the season is minus one wheel

Pros
  • Quiet, soft
Cons
  • Weak sidewall, mediocre handling

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

My first Velcro. Size 245/40/18. And miraculously, I'm happy as an elephant. Works great with mud! On pure snow, handling and braking with a bang! Once I hit the bare ice (someone spilled some water in a circular motion :)). Well, even the spikes would not have coped there. But it was all predictable. Wear has not yet been checked. Drove a thousand 8 total on it. In complete delight. I recommend!

Pros
  • Handling, snow braking, quiet.
Cons
  • Directly unambiguous shortcomings are not revealed. You have to drive wisely in winter. The biggest downside is probably the price. Expensive.

A good product, more pros than cons.

Tuareg car, wheel size 255/55/18. The Conti were bought to replace the Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV, which, after 5 years of operation, retained the tread, but became so hard that they became dangerous. I compare Conti with this Nokian. In principle, all indicators are equal, except that the Tour at high speed and the winter road is very unstable on the Conti, you constantly feel that it is slippery, you have to taxi. Very annoying compared to Hakka. That is why in this size my choice is Hakka, and not

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, passable
Cons
  • At highway speeds on a winter road (without reagents), the car has poor directional stability. You constantly feel that the road is slippery, you will not relax.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent product, the best quality.

Four years successfully and on all types of surfaces I drove a Viking 6 and in the 21/22 season I decided to try the 7 series of non-studded tires. In short, the impressions are excellent, no worse than the 6 series. There are no problems in the city at all - both in snow and in rain, and all the more important on dry frosty asphalt. Predictable braking and maneuvering. Nuance machine on full drive. Out of town on the track you need to be more careful than on the spikes, but nevertheless, there

Pros
  • "Working hook" on winter city asphalt, including ice and snow. In positive weather in the rain, grip is much better than studs.
Cons
  • Clearly, studs are worse on an icy road. High price, although competitors are also not cheap.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

Having 2 cars in the family, one on this clutch, the second on spikes, we can make an unambiguous conclusion - that you always feel more confident on spikes in winter conditions. The friction clutch wins only on bare asphalt, and then in terms of comfort. On snow, ice, spikes are also not audible. At minus 30 on this rubber, like on spikes, an excellent hook. On the pavement sprinkled with reagents is also good. On a rolled road at a temperature of about 0, it’s certainly scary to drive, unlike

Pros
  • No thorns - no clatter. Good handling on clean pavement, at speeds up to 140 in pleasure, did not go higher.
Cons
  • Very heavy, in size 225/60/17 weighs exactly 14 kg, while my summer Goodyear in the same size weighs 10.9 kg In the suv version with the XL sidewall, the sidewall is quite rigid, which affects the comfort when driving through the pits.
