Doesn't tell you what the 9 preset tasks are?

Pros: Easy to set up Fast scanner Cons: Quality is average, could be improved Tells you there are 9 preset tasks BUT NOT IN THE PAPER OR DIGITAL MANUAL WHAT THEY ARE! Kodak forgot to write somewhere in the manual that their preconfigured 9 tasks are very disappointing at first, but after reading other reviews they were just as disappointed. Someone was kind enough to include them in another review after testing them all. Here they are: 1. Two-sided color (pdf)2. Double-sided b/w (pdf)3. Two-way

GOOD office electronics

I bought this device in 2016. The first results were good. However, due to streaks on the scanned output, cleaning was required after a few months of use. User caution: when starting the cleaning process, one of the steps is to release the small spring-loaded latch, by small I mean about 1/2" x 1/2". If he breaks out of his sitting position, I won't be able (for me) to put him back in place. I haven't been able to get any help fixing this issue and so far the scanner is nothing more than a…

Great scanner: Scanner

My new computer is running Windows 8.1. My old flatbed scanner was not compatible with this version so I got this scanner as a replacement and am very happy with it. It's faster than my old scanner (and it captures both sides of the page in one go). Some say to reset the included software but that doesn't make sense to me. The software includes Smart Touch with an icon next to the clock in the system tray. Turn on the scanner, click this icon and it will list 9 functions to choose from. The…

Good scanner. When it works

I bought this scanner as a compact option at the front desk to ease the transition to paperless cards in our office. The scanner is quite fast and convenient, but it is unstable and unreliable. We have worked with our IT team on several occasions to troubleshoot the scanner and they have determined that it is faulty. If we have exhausted all the possibilities of the scanner, I am sure that the return period has already expired and we are stuck with this faulty scanner.

A reliable scanner at an affordable price

If you're looking for a simple scanner to handle batches of documents, then this is it. Very easy to use right out of the box - unboxing took longer than the first scan and save. I went through a bunch of bills, receipts etc in less than an hour, about 100 pages. I could probably get through it quicker if I didn't have to undo the braces so often. The power supply comes with a range of adapters so you can take it anywhere; although it's not as small or light as purpose-built portable computers.

Pros
  • Scanners and accessories
Cons
  • Functionality

Great little scanner, terrible linux drivers. The scanner is very affordable and very compact (I don't think you can get another ADF scanner in such a small form factor) and in my opinion it represents excellent value for money. However, the infeed isn't mechanically perfect, sometimes picking up more than one page at a time or loading a page in a less-than-ideal vertical orientation. But I've seen the same issues with HP's much more expensive office network scanners. I use it to save black and

A few minor imperfections here and there but most of the issues mentioned in negative or neutral software reviews were posted in July 2014 fixed Regarding the version I'm currently using (1.7.111) I would say that the software is actually one of the best features of this device and Kodak seems to be constantly updating it. To use this device, press the arrow button to select the preset on the device itself, then press the green scan button to scan. You can have up to 9 presets and turn off the…

EXCELLENT scanner, everything is fine Software package included

My opinion of this scanner is that it does an excellent job of scanning both sides of a page at the same time. Now let's break it down so I can show the strengths and weaknesses of this scanner. Scanner: Weaknesses: 1) Default Scanner Software Settings - The scanner software defaults to 200 dpi which causes pages to pass the scanner but produces scans that are not very good. You can change these settings to 300, 400, or 600 dpi for each scan setting. 2) Using the bundled software to scan at…
