Used = not working

The Mediacom website lists this modem as acceptable but it does not work as it is used and needs to be reset but there is no reset button and the troubleshooting that may be required to reset is impossible . .

Very Affordable Cable Modem Optimized for Using a Single Ethernet Port

This is a very affordable cable modem. It lacks routing functionality, so it cannot simply be plugged into a switch, it must be plugged into a router. Therefore, only one device can use this Ethernet port at a time unless it is connected to a router. As such, I only recommend this if you have a router to connect to - otherwise it only supports limited connectivity.

This corresponds to the speed class advertised by Comcast.

I bought this device because it was on Comcast's list of approved devices for my region and because the package I received was so fast. Initially, I had some problems with the computer, which significantly limited its speed. I called Comcast to fix the problem and they said the modem is old and unsupported and I need a newer modem to get the advertised speed. After I fixed the problems with the computer, everything worked fine. Keep in mind that Comcast doesn't want to support this modem and…
