Perfect fit for old HP Pavilion Elite m9200t

Core2Quad hot plug with SSD (0) and three laptop drives (RAID0). The old cables were not attached and may have come loose when the drive frame was installed. These fit perfectly. Boot into BIOS and all four online. The SATA controller BIOS is configured and all hard drives are ready for OS installation.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • High price

Too wide to use: cables and connectors

Too wide to use with the SATA power cable next to it. I was only able to use 1 of the 3 in the pack. They also don't snap into place like they should. Constantly falling out of the nest. Dirty design. I had to send them back.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Some issues

No more loose cables

I've actually never had a Sata cable fall out of the socket, but it always dangled like a goose. The only thing holding them in the socket is the friction on the connector pins. These cables have a steel spring clip that keeps them perfectly in the connectors. Even though the cables themselves are rigid, they will hold their shape if you bend them in place. Most sata cables have a mind of their own - bend them and they instantly snap back to the same shape they were before you took them out of…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • unreliable

These are SATA cables. What else would you like?

I bought this because I was adding some solid state drives and hard drives to my computer. They are of better quality than the ones in my computer case and don't have the annoying right angle that some of them have. I haven't had any crashes due to cables so they seem to be working fine.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can I add something?

Faulty cable caused hours of frustration

I bought these while upgrading my SSD at the same time. When my SSD started misbehaving, I spent hours diagnosing the problem, including reformatting, repartitioning, and numerous reboots. After a few hours of frustration I decided I had to send the drive back as it was still under warranty. For goodness sake I tried swapping out the cable and what do you know it worked great. I'm glad some people had luck with these cables (if the reviews are legit) but I certainly haven't. Pooh.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Long time

Simple product

Arrived as described. My motherboard came with 1 SATA cable with 2 straight ends and 1 SATA cable with 1 straight end and 1 90 degree end. The cable at the 90 degree end caused me cable routing issues, especially after replacing the HDD with an SSD and installing two 2.5" SSDs in a 2.5-3.5 bay (from Corsair , which was placed in the bottom slot of my 3.5" NZXT). drive bay). Replacing the 90 degree end of the cable with a completely straight cable helped and I have 2 extra cables in case I want…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly torn

No problem with these cables

Most motherboards come with 2 SATA cables and if you end up adding more than one boot drive/DVD you will need more SATA cables. I have 2 computer cases where the connections to the SATA connectors on the motherboard and the drives themselves were not close together ie in a small form factor case used for HTPC and a 24" cable instead of a 12" Inch cable preferred. or an 18 inch cable and they worked right out of the box. I will order more to have on hand.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Update Availability

Excellent quality and good length for cable management

I just got black 24" Ordered cables and they ended up with metal clips which is great for most of my discs. The extra length helps manage the cables in my PC build much better than the shorter version. I have also ordered angled cables which work well in some cases but not always. It just depends on how much space you have and if a 90 degree angle will work with mounting the drives. I really liked the seller of these cables as I have ordered a few different types of cables and they are always…

Pros
  • SATA III motherboard cable is specially designed to connect motherboard and host controller to internal Serial ATA hard drives and DVD drives
Cons
  • little things

WHAT IS THE REAL @#$%?

This cable just broke my hard drive! Over 20 years of my digital life are over in no time! The latch on the connector was misaligned and when I tried to connect it to my drive it wouldn't latch. I checked the head, adjusted the clamp and tried again. Again it didn't close, but it felt different, loose and wobbly. I checked it again and found that it had pulled out the plastic sleeve covering the contacts. My guess is that when I first tried splicing it the clip was so misaligned that it snapped

Pros
  • Low-profile flexible sleeve SATA data cable allows for efficient and organized installation in tight computer cases; Light cherry colored cable makes it easier to identify when troubleshooting
Cons
  • not reliable
