Looks great. Install and forget!

I took my car in for brake repairs and more than a week later I noticed my hood was on the ground next to my seat. THE? Eventually, after interrogation, someone admitted that he broke off the relationship - like beyond my comprehension. Since the cable was fine and I didn't want to mess around with a replacement, I looked for a handle-only option and found this one. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that you don't use that often but kind of wish you had to because it works SO well. it took a little time and patience. After that, installation was a breeze! There is about a 1/4" socket on the brass end of the cable and after tightening the two set screws it is held VERY securely with no hope of it loosening. ***NOTE*** I have found that when you insert the cable end into this new handle, the hood will not want to open fully. If you find that it does, loosen the set screws just enough that you can To move the handle, tighten only 1 set screw. Check the release again. Do this until it unlocks like a factory crank, then tighten both set screws and never worry again.
