Handy emergency flashlight

This is a good emergency flashlight to keep in your car. The magnet at the base will allow for hands-free operation. The selling point of this LED flashlight is the magnet at the base. This magnet can come in handy when you don't have a second person to hold the flashlight while you do an emergency vehicle repair. There are two options for light sources. The focused beam at the end of the tube and the area light coming from the side of the body. The amount of light is what you would expect from an LED light of this size that uses the same size and number of battery cells.Batteries are not included. But they use regular AA that should be easy enough to find. The problem with keeping batteries inside a device for long periods of time is the leak. Battery leaks are one of the leading causes of electronic device damage. I recommend that you use rechargeable batteries because they rarely leak. Alkaline batteries have a tendency to leak. So keep a freshly charged NIMH battery in your car near this flashlight.I would have given this five stars but the door to the battery compartment is not as secure as I would have liked. Aside for that, this is an inexpensive item that should be part of your tool set. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Practical design - The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to store in your car door or glove compartment
Cons
  • The flashlight's charging cable is not included, making it difficult to use right out of the box
