The column exceeded my expectations in terms of both size and cost. Yes, objectively speaking, it doesn't look as nice as competitors, but I really like this design. I've already spilled sweet tea on the column and after rinsing it off, it looks and operates as good as new, so the moisture protection clearly does its job. Mini-jacks are great since they allow you to easily turn the column on and off without having to hold it or leave it exposed for too long, two factors that might be off-putting. Has its drawbacks. The volume jumps up and down so quickly that it's uncomfortable to listen to music for extended periods of time; however, your mileage may vary depending on the device you typically use to listen to music. It's unclear what the huge hole on the speaker's back is for; if the loop has its own dedicated connector, that's a bit of a mystery.
