Quality Thunderbolt docking station for the money! The

I bought a non-Touch Bar version of my MacBook Pro a few years ago (I'm generally not a fan of the Apple Touch Bar). However, this eventually limited me to just two Thunderbolt ports and left me looking for additional expansion. I've tried a few different Thunderbolt "hubs" on the market and (while they were effective) they were just plain unsightly with lots of cables coming out of them and even with one of the best I ended up running out of available ports. what i needed. So I decided to throw money away to get a real doctor. I've searched a lot for compatible docking stations and what put me off the most was the price. I don't really work on my machine professionally, so I had trouble justifying some of the $250-$350 solutions. I stumbled across this brand and after looking at many of the features I liked what it offers for the price. And I must say that I am very satisfied with the purchase! It provided me with all the ports I currently need with some excess! I'm currently using a 34" LG Ultra Wide monitor via DP, a 24" Dell HD monitor in a tower mount (*more on that later) via DVI HDMI in, audio out to audio Switch, Gigabit Ethernet input. and multiple USB peripherals, all through a single Thunderbolt port that also powers my MacBook Pro! This leaves me with 2 additional USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB-C ports on the front of the device and an open Thunderbolt port on my MacBook! One thing I definitely recommend to all Mac users (I think PC users are probably more used to it) is to install the drivers that come with it. I know many Mac users are probably used to plug and play most of the time, but this isn't one of them. I initially had trouble getting the device to recognize my monitors, but after installing the drivers from the included CD (so yes, I had to pull out my old external CD drive) and rebooting, everything worked great! The only other small issue I have is running my 24 inch Dell in vertical mode. The refresh rate when switching desktops on this monitor is terrible! Initially I thought it might be an issue directly related to the dock, but when I set the monitor to landscape mode the refresh rate is smooth, so I'm inclined to believe at this point that it's more of a real monitor limitation than in this mode anything related to it is the docking station. Everyone is happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to any user looking for an affordable Thunderbolt docking solution!
