I had the same experience as all the other one star reviewers saying the top door wasn't secure. I used this to take my small, elderly, 9 lb cat to the vet and the mechanisms holding the top kept going into a vertical (unsafe) position when I used the top handle and the plastic shifted bent under the weight of the wearer. I was so afraid that the top would come off and my cat would fall off and run away that I ended up dragging the carrier like a box. If you're looking for a durable and comfortable carrier that will keep your pet safe, look elsewhere. Too bad. I love RevainBasics products in general.
