Review on Dell SE2416HX Screen LED Lit Monitor 23.8", 1920X1080P, HDMI by Dezz Roemke

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There's an oddity in an expensive but good monitor: an HDMI port with no built-in speakers or audio output? What's the point?

It is 1.8 inches larger than my existing 22 inch Samsung monitor. 1.8 inches makes many things better. It's a well-designed, more affordable monitor. It's probably cheaper because its good days are almost over: people are looking for bigger monitors these days. But for desktop I think it's the right page. If more than , you get dizzy. The strange thing is that this monitor, 23.8" version, has no speaker or audio output. Then what is the point of HDMI? HDMI is for audio and video. DVI-I will do for that. The one coming out of the computer Audio signal cuts out. Also, it only comes with a VGA cable. or it must have a DVI connector with DVI cables. In the case of a 22" Samsung monitor, the TV comes with a lot of different cables, but a DVI-to -HDMI cable is included. The DVI to HDMI cable has audio passthrough. So when you connect it to the HDMI port on the computer side, though the HDMI to DVI cable on the computer side and the If a DVI-to-HDMI cable is used on the monitor side, the sound is output through the supplied speakers on the monitor TV. An interesting 27" version of this Dell monitor with a different model number (SE2716H) has a 35mm Audio jack and two speakers, then an HDMI connection makes sense.

Pros
  • The aspect ratio was larger than expected, but the display can be adjusted if you're not a beginner.
Cons
  • Low Brightness: If the monitor's brightness is set too low, the image may appear washed out or too dark.
