Review on πŸ“± PalmOne m130 Portable Device by Brad Blake

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good balance of features

After 3 years of pinching grayscale screens I finally gave up. The m130's bright color screen is well worth the extra money. Compared to much more expensive models on the market (like the Clie), the m130 has the most readable screen. The lower resolution compared to the top Clie models hardly hurts and you save almost 50%. I guess the small screen size doesn't bother me as I got used to it from my previous m100. I've also considered Pocket PC devices, but they're three times the price and more enterprise-focused. Palm has many useful consumer programs, most of which are free. One of my favorites is AvantGo. Read the news etc while waiting in line or bored. I'm having trouble installing the free MGI image viewer software on my Windows XP computer, but the apps otherwise work fine. The battery convinced me. Getting used to two AAAs, which is enough for a month on gray models, I got worried. But it's quick and easy to recharge. However, it comes with the ugliest PDA case in the world. No doubt they are trying to get you to buy a replacement cap. Getting used to two AAAs, which is enough for a month on gray models, I got worried. But it's quick and easy to recharge.
