Review on Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector, HDR, Android TV, Movies, Family Gaming, Portable, Sound By Yamaha, 3LCD, Full HD 1080P, 1000 Lumens Color & White Brightness Bluetooth Black by James Kelley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Awesome device with one flaw

I ordered this projector to replace a smaller, cheaper projector that threw a picture too dim for a bright room. As you can see it’s in a workout room and I need a picture that’s visible with lights on. The Epsom EF-12 does an amazing job and the laser projection is bright enough to use even with some sun coming in the windows. My only complaint with this projector is the fact that I can’t set a default input. Any time it is powered off it loads to the Android TV interface and I have to manually select my HDMI input from the menu to actually view my media. It’s a huge issue as long as we remember to "sleep” the projector instead of powering it off. But we live in an area with occasional brown-outs which means fiddling with the projector menu is a common annoyance for us.If Epson added the option to bypass the android interface and default to the external media source this projector would get 5 big, beautiful stars from me.
