I installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago without any problems. As an assembly between this and the original OEM light bulb which replaced them.The instructions were minimal to say the least but installing one of these things doesn't require much attention as long as it has the lamp housing that did it and that was the main reason I bought it.If you try "To save some money by just buying a bare bulb I wouldn't recommend it. Really sucks if a bulb explodes on you or your case melts because it hasn't been installed/cleaned properly. no witchcraft or anything , mind you, just to screw it up slightly. Lightbulbs also contain mercury, so be sure to dispose of them properly and not just throw them in the trash.//////// // // /// 2013-07-22 Continued: Works well so far. I've noticed that this bulb takes a little longer to warm up and produce a brighter image than my old bulb, but that's normal. Reading about these DLP TVs it seems that generally if you turn down the contrast you will significantly increase lamp life. I think I'll find out how to do it.
