Updated 23-Aug-21. Based on feedback from myself and others, the company has updated their specs to reflect the sensor's actual range of up to 20-30 feet. How often does that happen! HELLO YULINA! I love the sensor and have ordered more devices since my first purchase. As mentioned elsewhere, these sensors work best when the movement is across the sensor and not parallel to it. The device does not pick up movement, which should be, for example, a passing golf cart. Read R. Smith's review, he's right. However, I will appreciate it and say that I suggested YoLink's driveway sensor back in August 2020. :) I award 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. but since I can't, they get 5 stars for the time being. PRO: small, long range, works with Alexa, at the right price. Detection Zone: I really wish marketers wouldn't exaggerate the truth and just tell it for what it is. . The documentation says "Optimum range is 1-40 feet." This means this should work for me EVERY time the object is in that range. and can work when it is outside. In one human I found the range to be around 35 feet. Definitely not 40'. Also the 80 degree viewing angle is wrong, it's much narrower. FOV actually works in my favor since I use it as a lane sensor. It's not as good as the Dakota Alert I've been using and I might come back as I integrated my Dakota Alert with YoLink anyway. I had one instance where an electric car pulled in and out of our driveway and didn't pick it up either way, so it was a FAIL. Maybe because it didn't have a hot engine? This is a great product if you know you can't get 40ft detection or an 80 degree field of view. Perfect for your front door, around your house etc. I will be buying more of these to place around the house!
