Well packaged. Nothing complicated but minimal instructions. It turns on by pressing and holding the "eye" for a few seconds. When I received it it had about 25% battery running, enough to get everything working and testing with a margin. There is a downloadable app (I put it in the pictures because it's not listed in the instructions) and it forces you to sign up with a code that they send to the email address you sign up with sign up so don't look in the code box like me lol. After entering your email address and your chosen password, click "Submit" next to the code entry part (which is between the email address and the password) and you will be given a code that you can then sign. You then connect it to your wifi, via the app you don't have to go into your phone's settings to do this (like I tried). And then you can print immediately. There are multiple filters to choose from to print the clearest image of your photo subject and it will print in seconds. They are clearly black and white. I didn't have an HD quality printer so I didn't have high expectations for the quality and they are perfect for what they are. Great little printer for fun crafts and reminders.
