Nothing special, but it works

A little background on my main use of television: In many ways I'm still living in the Middle Ages. I still record TV on VHS, don't have cable and I have a TV that requires manual channel/volume changes (no remote). I've been using this product for several months now and here are my results. :* I am quite happy with the quality of the DVD player and VCR. No complaints here, but I obviously don't have a fancy entertainment system, so it doesn't take much to please me in that regard. VCR. This forced me to drastically reduce my TV time, which isn't bad, but seems like a silly limitation and is one of my biggest complaints about the product.* The user interface is pretty basic and standard. The biggest pitfall I've found is, once again, with TV recording: instead of using the number buttons on the remote to enter days, times, channels, etc., you have to use the up/down buttons, which is the Programming can make very painful. Not the smartest design decision on their part. t is designed with this in mind. Some examples of this: from the VCR I can't mute or change the volume at all (so I can't do that with the remote control), no way to quickly switch between two TV channels. (for switching between two programs with the push of a button) and the device switches off automatically after a TV program has been recorded. The remote seems to work with compatible TVs (I don't) so it might be less of a nuisance to others, but even then you still need to toggle between DVD/VCR and TV on the remote to perform some basic DVD/VCR product functions be able to act independently. The inability to change the volume is probably my biggest complaint overall. Overall I'm happy with the product, but it certainly hasn't left me without complaints due to the shortcomings of some of the basic surgeries I'm prone to. perform regularly.
