Review on Sony Headset Wireless Gold for PS4 (CUHYA-0080) Black by Avut Bouchen ᠌

Good and quality product, but there are flaws.

Bought these ears mainly for ps4 and more satisfied than not. In my humble opinion, I felt the difference in full between 'normal' and 'surround' sound, especially where there are presets. But in order to view the same YouTube or listen to music, I realized that I needed to turn off the surround sound (fortunately there is a button on the left ear, holding which disables or enables this mode). The so-called 7.1 and surround sound completely kills the bass and the sound often does not spread much further than the 'center' of the sound, but in music this, as it turned out, is important. After turning off this mode, a clearer shape of the sound and good bass appear. This is about the sound in general, and when buying them, you should understand one thing, you should not expect straight 'WOW' even for 6k, but treat them as quite good ears for 'this' money. But PS VR owners (or future ones) should know one not so good thing. The point is this: to connect these ears, a special adapter is included in the kit, for wireless use, which must be plugged into the USB socket. And because of this, there is a conflict between the helmet and the adapter. In general, 7.1 and surround sound only go through the adapter and only for PS4. And if he does not rob, then you will not see these buns. To the helmet only 3.5mm and nothing more. And because of the size of the ear pads and the place where the helmet is attached, after some time it can cause severe discomfort, up to pain. But here it is purely individual.

Pros
  • Ease of connection even to a PC (but with reservations). Appearance. The ability to connect 3.5mm plug to any device. Surround sound in games. The presence of all buttons under the ear.
Cons
  • Work with a PC like ordinary ears (but without a wire). The appearance does not inspire long-term attractiveness and may well soon fade away. The sound of 3.5mm is like simple ears for about 1.5 - 2 thousand by feel. Surround sound otherwise. Strumming some buttons under the ear (maybe I'm just unlucky) due to head movement. The charge time is not so hot, but tolerable. Not the best choice for PS VR.
