Phytargent with Cornflower or Chamomile Extract

I have used Phytargent Shampoo more than 15 years. For my hair type, the Phyto product line has been the best all natural haircare product. I started with shampoos for normal to oily hair. As I aged and my hair turned gray, switched to Phytargent shampoo for gray hair (back then, the shampoo was sold in a glass bottle). Excellent - excellent. Many compliments on the gray-silver look, especially during my salt-pepper years. However, during the past two years (all white-silver hair color now), I encountered two versions of this shampoo. The one that contains cornflower has a very purple color. Gray hair is porous and as a result, I ended up with strong purple tints after shampooing. The second version, same name and same packaging, but the key ingredient is chamomile azulene. This is the package that remove the brassy/yellowish tint that colors gray hair - especially if heat appliances used. Now I make certain to purchase the Phytargent shampoo that contains chamomile, which has a brownish look and is not as thick as the Phytargent that contains cornflower.

Pros
  • Reduces hair static
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on curly or wavy hair.
