These large Poly Bags are spacious, with enough room for a variety of uses in our household.These bags are resealable, easy to open, easy to close.The material of the bag does not feel thick to my touch; but, when I put a 10-lb weight into the bag and held it vertical, the bag held. I used a stopwatch for 1 minute and held the bag with the weight up in the air. The bag did not break.note: I did not go longer because my hands and wrist started to shake and got achy.These resealable bags save us so much space. For instance,-- We poured out mini-chocolate that were individually wrapped in two separate bags, and consolidated them in one Poly bag.-- We took hot cocoa bags out of their large box, and neatly stacked them into one Poly bag.We use these resealable Poly bags for fruit and veggie storage to keep them fresher, placed on the counter so that our family members can access them when they want to.These Poly bags also hold our assorted technology cables, which we've kept over the years, even as the DVDs/VHS players/etc. no longer worked and we bought and/or upgraded to newer devices.We can store size men's 8 shoes (and smaller sizes) into these bags and fully close the seal; however, size 8 boots or size 9 shoes or higher will not fit, or if they do fit, we could not close the seal.At any given time, we have several boxes of 100+ count coffee pods. One of our boxes had just a few remaining, so we put the pods in a Poly Bag, and threw away the box - a definite space saver.In short, we find these bags extremely versatile, able to store pretty much anything we have that will fit into the bags, thus saving us lots of shelf space, while keeping the items fresher.5-stars for a product that's as good as it gets for its intended purposes.
