I use these in place of the plastic collar inserts that come with my shirts. This particular product has smooth edges and no sharp ends. They are well weighted and fit well in the collar. In place, the tips of my collar stay down and no longer pucker like plastic inserts sometimes do. I attach the ID badge to the tags on the shirts and they work well to create a stronger sense of connection. One of the problems is remembering to take them off when sending shirts to the dry cleaner. They will never be returned if I forget. I don't know what they do with them, but they are not for single use. Cheap plastic liners are making a comeback, maybe it's the weight or maybe dry cleaners just like them better. b)
