So here I sit during a pandemic with my otoscope that I ordered when my left ear was giving me trouble and finally pulled out when I woke up with my right ear giving me trouble.PROS:- It says you need to charge it, but it came with enough charge for my first-time use.- At least there are some directions.- It's almost idiot proof. Almost. :) Seriously, once you figure it out, it's pretty easy to use.CONS:- The charging directions are not in words that I, a Luddite, can understand. Which should also tell you that it either may or may not come with the correct cable but it definitely does not come with a power adapter.- There are directions, but they are quite scant and certainly do not cover actually using the device.- I had to watch the video and read many reviews to get any idea how this thing works. Even then, I never did figure out what those small clear plastic caps were for and eventually just left them off entirely. When I had them on, I just ended up with a big blur in the corner of the screen.- It is really difficult to get a good photo. I spent easily 20 minutes trying.- Pictures came out pretty blurry.- And I had to call my ex-husband to talk me through how to transfer them onto my computer.I did not attempt to use the "clean out my own ear wax” feature, although I can see that there are many supplies for that very purpose. I just wanted to be able to send some photos to my doctor, which I did. I wish they had been better quality.BOTTOM LINE: Exceptionally handy little device that ought to come with far more detailed directions and a power adapter.
