Review on TSLA Lightweight Athletic Barefoot Minimalist Men's Shoes for Athletic by Ryan Will

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great replacement for my Merrells.

I got my first pair of these many years ago when they were on another list. I've had trail gloves (IDK what gen) and 3rd and 4th gen Vapor gloves which obviously mimic the Vapor 3. My Tesla pair has lasted for my fitness and running shoes since 2018. They were mainly used indoors and run on trails, but that's one heck of a long lifespan. None of my Merrells have lasted that long despite being used daily. After my last pair of these workouts, I tried the latest trail gloves and found the arch support terribly uncomfortable after going barefoot. IDK why they changed the formula. Luckily, TSLA continues to carry the baton and makes it a lot cheaper. I just want them to do an all black pair. Camouflage is the closest, but I wouldn't want to wear it to work. In addition, they can have a schematic quality control. My last pair that I've been using for years has a shoe that's a 10.5 even though it's a 12. I ordered 12 again and they were clown shoes compared to the last pair. Came back and got the 11s and they fit perfectly (just like my old 12s). Luckily the free returns saved me from ordering again. I will also mention that they are better than the Whitins I've tried. They had a heavy sole that made them very flexible when walking and I had to try a few pairs to get one that wasn't glued at a weird angle. They looked more conventional than these, but in terms of functionality they are much better. My plan is to continue using them as my athletic shoes and get more expensive shoes that look more normal for the Icarus Ascent (whenever they release black/gum) than my everyday shoes. I've tried a few other brands and feel like I spent a lot of money on my barefoot Vivo as the leather compresses my toes before flexing, although the sole is great. I have a pair of STR/KE Hazes and they look great but are very narrow (tight toe wrap). I will continue to buy these TSLAs. I wish they branched out into several different models.
