Review on Coros PACE 2 Premium GPS Sport Watch: Heart Rate Monitor, 30h Full GPS Battery, Barometer, Strava & TrainingPeaks Compatible by Will Schimmel

Battery lasts forever, ideal for a 5 day hike - heart rate monitor is not very good

So I took it on a 6 day hike. The battery lasted. Hooray! I traveled 9.5 hours through the Grand Canyon and he said my heart rate was 80. Not accurate at all. I have a heart rate of 140-160 during exercise. But overall I really like the watch. I keep it. Apple watch. made me feel connected to the computer. I need to disconnect when I work. It helps. It's hard to explain why Coros has such a cult following, but it just makes you feel like your focus is on fitness and not your other work life. I tried to get the Apex but it seems to me that the screen is actually brighter on the Pace 2. It definitely has a better screen than the Garmin Forerunner 55. Also, the buttons on the Garmin are just annoying. The apex was a lot bigger too, I have small wrists and love how light it is. It's like a little piece of paper on my wrist. I like Apex but I don't see any reason why it's better for me. I love the Pace 2's clear screen. The silicone strap is very comfortable and easy to wash and dry. Navy blue is cool, understated, and not ugly (for a sports watch). I love getting texts and messages about what the app is, but I don't really need anything else. You may wish to receive this from REI as REI will refund you $ in membership points. I'm just saying. Enjoy!
