Review on Top-Load Hard-Sided Pet Travel Carrier by Amazon Basics: Secure and Efficient Transportation Solution by Richard Messar

Very easy to use even with difficult cats

I have four rescued cats who are afraid of being caged. They are very difficult to load into a carrier to go to the vet and will sometimes wallow in the carrier in terror. This is the best carrier I have found for her. It's very durable and doesn't stain my car seat. The top door stays open so I can pick the cat up, quickly carry it to where the van was out of sight, and drop it before it realizes what's going on. After that, the door just closes and locks without losing the cat or hurting me. They can go through the front door to the vet once, and two of them will even go through the front door to get home (the other two just hate being in a carrier whether they come home or not). Please don't think I'm just incapable of shipping cats. I have had several purebred cats born to tame mothers and have never had a problem carrying them around. Feral born cats (especially my 10 year old who was born in the wild and then abandoned by the first person to adopt her) can be extremely sweet and affectionate when indoors in a safe house and still scared of Strangers and Captivity. I would recommend this carrier to anyone, but especially older cat owners or cat owners with physical disabilities, as well as those who have cats with an unfortunate life history, are overly shy, or tend to scratch and/or bite when they see the carrier approaching.
