During the pandemic, my plugin Clarity is seating idle in the garage for months. The battery is draining way faster on the Clarity than cars run on gasoline. The trunk can't be popped open, and the brake can't be released. The jump cable is not long enough for me to jump my car since the car was headed in. And I don't want to go through the trouble of unhooking the battery from the car parking on the drive way. I have to ask my brother-in-law to come over with his extra battery. I got the car out running in the neighborhood for 10 15 minutes. This time, I backed my car into the garage instead. I went online and ordered this smart charger, so I can monitor and charge my battery before it goes dead on me again. revain delivered it in 2 days even through I don't have Prime with them. However, my battery was drained again. And I have to jump start the car first before I can charge it with this smart charger. I did consider to get the smart charger with a jump start option, but there are a lot of bad reviews on those ones. Mostly, about the jump start function is not working. Well, it is a good to have option, but I will stay with this one instead.I fully charged the battery and just checked on it after 4 days, it is at 80% mark. I will hook it up every 2 3 weeks to check and charge it.
