New version with 2x faster reading speed (but writing speed remains the same)

In 2013 I bought many Sony memory cards including Sony 32GB Micro SDHC Class 10 (SR32UYA/TQMN) back in 2013. This product (Sony 32GB Class 10 UHS-1 Micro SDHC (SR32UY2A/TQ)) claims to be the latest version with speeds up to 70MB/s compared to 40MB/s before. So I'm curious to see how fast he really is. On the front of the package I received it says "Up to 70MB/s" and on the back it says in small print "Read speed up to 70MB/s; Write speed is slower. . I inserted the card into a Transcend RDF5 UHS compatible card reader and tested the card on both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Here are my results: on the USB2 port: Read = 34.8 MB/s, Write = 21.3 MB/s; on the USB3 port: read = 92.6 MB/s, write = 21.5 MB/s (see my old Sony UHS1 card shows 47.3 MB/s read and 20.55 MB/s write with identical test settings. This means that the new card is almost 2 times faster in reading, but the writing speed remains almost the same as before.By the way, the writing speed of 20-21 MB/s is relatively slow compared to most other UHS-1 cards (see the comparison table uploaded by me) [Summary] In most applications write speed is always the main limiting factor, so you probably won't see a performance gain by "upgrading" this. On the other hand, the new card is currently cheaper than the old card, so still better value for money If you need a memory card for HD video recording or for use in a DSLR, look for a card with the symbol "U3" (capital "U" with "3" inside) I have e s tested 64GB Sony high-speed microSDXC memory card (SR64UXA/TQ), and its write speed is 57.2MB/s, almost three times faster than this U1 card. [Other Notes] - The new card I received is made in Taiwan just like the old version - The listed capacity of this 32GB card is only 30.0GB according to my computer. That's normal, because computer scientists consider a "gig" to be "2 to the power of 30," which is 7.3% more than a billion. So 30GB is actually about 32.2 billion bytes, which is what marketers refer to as 32GB.
