Review on SMARTSTANDARD 42x84 Sliding Barn Door Kit: DIY Unfinished Solid Spruce Wood Panelled Slab, K-Frame, Natural Finish - Includes 7ft Hardware & Handle by Robert Helstrom

Can't beat it for the price.

We went with this door over others due to the sizeable price difference, and for that, I guess the below cons below are acceptable.Pros:The door after assembly looks great. It feels sturdy and I would imagine it will last for a long time.Glides easily on the rail and doesn't wobble around.Cons:Assembly instruction sare fine, but the quality lacks a bit.The slats in both upper and lower sections have wiggle room and if you don't line them up right before putting the angle piece on you will have gaps. The screws on the angle pieces are gold. I would think silver or black would blend better with a gray door.Scrwing in the long side pieces to the 3 horizontal pieces is not easy and feels like it's going to break/splinter. I had to get a longer bit to fit all the way down the slot. Also filling these holes with the mandrils afterwards is also not a nice process as they are difficult to insert (need hammer) and must make sure not to scuff your new door.Measurements, I found the measurements to be slightly off and missing one key measurement (the distance between the wall and the door so it doesn't hit the moulding).Notes:I ended up installing a header board as the door would hit the molding without it.Measure everything and verify level, a little off and this door will move on its own.I'm using this for a bathroom, so I need it to lock and it doesn't come with any sort of latch.Overall it is a beautiful door for an unbeatable price and I would buy another one if needed.
