Review on πŸ” Cosmo COS-QS75 30 in. Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood: 500 CFM, Permanent Filters, LED Lights, Convertible from Ducted to Ductless by Matt Minette

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It sucks. smokes very well, terrible lights

Pros: This hood moves air and is fairly quiet. Equipped with 2 squirrel-cage fans and removable grease trap grilles for canteen kitchens. An order of magnitude higher than a standard 4-blade fan with a screen grease trap. Installation was easy. Need a 7-6" adapter as the existing channel was a 6". 7" or 8" pipes would be better, but I'm not going to rip open walls and ceilings for a small gain in performance. I just found a 6-8 inch adapter and cut it down to size. It's heavy, around 60 pounds, so an assistant will come in handy. Also a proper mount, I found frame studs and used some screws. Also attached to the overhead cabinet and made support wedges for the front corners with tape. He doesn't fall. Disadvantages: Headlight scrap! Absolutely terrible! I bought and replaced them with 6 sets of Hyperselect GU10 LEDs 5W (equivalent to 40-50W), 2700K (warm white), 400 lumens https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N5JZQ5B?psc= 1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title . They have a great colour, make granite and food crispy, with true color fidelity. -1 star The final downside is that one or both motors makes a slight clicking noise when turned on, as if the fan is off-center, unbalanced, or in contact with something. The slight annoyance seems to dissipate as soon as they pick up speed. -0.5 stars
