Nice display but OS setup required to work with current Pi OS version.

While the product description for this display claims to work with the official Pi OS and does not require drivers, it turns out that you need to edit the Pi-config.txt file to use the older (deprecated) FKMS graphics driver - otherwise showing results of board freezing after displaying Pi OS boot logo. There is no information on how to do this in the instructions or on the Osoyoo website - luckily trial and error and the help of the Pi forums helped me with this. To use this display, find the following text in your config.txt file: # Enable the VC4 V3D DRM driver dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3dmax_framebuffers=2 and change it to (note fkms):# Enable the VC4 V3D DRM driver dtoverlay= vc4-fkms-v3dmax_framebuffers=2 The display itself looks sharp and the touchscreen works (though not very accurately due to the small size). If desired, you can use the HDMI monitor at the same time. From a hardware perspective, the front of the display is good, but it's VERY thin glass with no support around the edges on the back, so fitting it into a case would require some engineering. However, there are 4 stands that fit the pi board template so they can be attached directly to the pi board if desired. .txt editing that needs to be done to make it work.
