My daughter really likes having this easel for her artwork. She often uses a sketchbook in her lap, but with this easel, she can have a solid surface to work at her desk. She doesn't have to prop up a full easel for drawing or painting something on a nine by twelve piece of paper (the size she mainly uses for her home art) or a small canvas.The storage easel is well made and sturdy. There are dividers for storing various art supplies inside the case. The latches keep it closed and a handle makes it easy to take with you for plein air painting. My daughter just uses it at home though and doesn't make use of the storage space.The easel was easy to set up. It comes with three screw sets with nuts and washers to install the rests across the bottom and the top. The height of the top rest can be adjusted up or down. When closed, the easel is almost like a flat box for storing. It has a smooth finish that can be cleaned fairly well, especially if it's just wet paint being wiped off. I think this would make a nice gift for an artist who wants to create a beautiful work without having to set up a whole studio space.
