I like the idea of breed specific food as certain purebreds are prone to specific issues. It makes since to target those issues nutritionally, hopefully before they even become issues. I have 2 yorkshire terriers, parents known plus DNA tested to be 100% yorkshire terrier but they are not the tiny variety as pictured on the bag. Their weight is not even listed on the bag in regards to how much to feed them (goes up to 9 lbs). So the issues it targets with nutrition may be things smaller yorkies; which are often less healthy, are prone too. The ingredients don't seem all that special so it kind of makes me wonder why exactly it's so exspensive. I suppose it must be the mixture of vitamins and supplements targeted to yorkies. My dogs did love this kibble and inhaled it immediately but it probably won't be added to our current rotation of foods once it's gone.
