Review on πŸ”’ 527D Adjustable Shackle by Master Lock - 2 inch Wide, Black - Enhancing Security and Convenience by Mark Meyer

Perfect for locking my kayak

I've been looking for a way to lock my kayak at a public counter for YEARS. I don't drive a car, so I was keen to leave my kayak at the public presentation for the whole season. I've seen lockable seat kayaks with scupper holes, but my seat yak didn't have holes large enough. I chose this lock for its length and the fact that the shackle can fully detach. It turns out to fit PERFECTLY through the handle hole on my Pelikan kayak. I kept it there in a very busy public park area for about a week and no one has contacted it yet! So far locking/unlocking has been very smooth. I will update if it gets rusty or more difficult to use. I know this review may not be relevant to most users of this lock but I hope it helps someone who was in my previous predicament. I use it with this chain: Master Lock 73D 3 foot hardened steel chain, green bushing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000AYH8MO?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
