I do AV/low voltage/systems integration here in Northern California. I use this plum bean more than I could ever imagine. Mostly I use it for vertical drops in closed walls from the ceiling grid to the studs. It cuts through medium density insulation very well for its weight and can land my strings faster than any other method. If you want to save time on vertical falls in hard walls with insulation. It's the perfect weight and durability. It has a thread head that is the perfect size for threading the line. Tie a knot and screw your head back. Boom. Did. Saves time, money and my sanity. Good product.
