Review on πŸ’‘ BenQ EW2480 24 Inch Eye Care Monitor with Built-In Speakers, 1920x1080P, and 75Hz Refresh Rate by Eric Dennis

Decent monitor and price, but could be much better, material defects?

What you see is a 27" EW2780-L monitor after 6 months of use with the back of a plastic coffee cup (accidentally) bumping into a corner. Let's say by accident my 4 year old daughter threw hard plastic toys with more force. , stepped on the lay-flat screen of a Lenovo E485 laptop, and more with little to no damage. The force acting on this screen was the same as clicking on the screen by pressing your middle finger with the Thumbs up and let go! To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement - they just don't make them like they used to. I sent a request to BenQ Support and received a response in less than an hour. "We look forward to hearing from you. We regret to inform you that our warranty does not cover physical damage to the display. Additionally, repairs are not in your interest as the cost of parts and labor will exceed the cost of one of our refurbished models. "So as you can see the support isn't bad, but it's just a shame these monitors are so cheaply made these days. This particular monitor was built in September 2020 and I recommend looking elsewhere for comparable price monitors!
