Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras! by Amar Amar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

This lens has already survived three cameras for me (D90, D800, now it is friends with the D850). This is just a great fifty dollars, with the best price / quality ratio for a photo. Of course, it is hardly suitable for video, but most likely, with proper skill, it may be appropriate for these tasks. The biggest disadvantage is very poor resistance to backlight, as soon as a powerful source hits the edge of the frame, then you can say goodbye to contrast. Otherwise, if you want an inexpensive and high-quality fifty dollars for a full frame for Nikon, then this model is for you.

Pros
  • - light and compact - no built-in motor - resolution is enough even for the D850 matrix - works in any conditions - metal bayonet
Cons
  • - looks flimsy - really dislikes backlight

Pros: price and quality, light, fast aperture is the most important thing. Its cons: For such a price, it makes no sense to look for them.

A great choice for "testing" and someone will want 35/2

Some pros: Cheap Washes the background chic Super colors Cons below: Autofocus does not work on D3100 D3200 series, etc. So I had to return and take the Nikon 50mm f / 1.8G AF-S Nikkor it is newer release and autofocus works everywhere.

Its pros: Price (bought for 3t. R + lens hood). Small size! Aperture! Nice plastic, doesn't look cheap. bokeh! Cons: For my 3 they just don't exist. If it only lathers on aperture from 1.8 to 3. I shoot at f / 4, pretty sharp shots come out.

It's worth getting at least for the price. but it’s better to take 1.4 AF-S. he draws better bokeh and copes better with "contra"

Has pros: Excellent glass, minimum chromatic aberrations, price. Cons below: Extremely not sharp at f / 1.8-2.5 (great from 2.5)

The bokeh itself is not even, jerky, but it will do for someone. At 1.8 it does not lather but somehow a loose image. Sharpness appears when you close the aperture

Has pros: price, aperture, wonderful bokeh, focusing, light and compact)) Different cons: 50mm is often not enough if indoors, but on the street or in nature you zoomed with your legs and you have wonderful photos)

Pros: Cheap, sharp enough, has bokeh Has cons: Few aperture blades, hence the bokeh nuts instead of circles

when I bought it - I thought it would be much worse than 50mm / 1.4 - I tried both after purchase. I'm new and didn't notice any difference. 1.4 I took from my father-in-law, he takes pictures for a long time, his opinion is that the difference is not striking. I am satisfied with the purchase, I use it on the D90
