Process knitting

There are knitters who knit just for fun and a challenge, and others who are primarily interested in knitting as a finished product. This book is more for knitters of the first type. I hope that by making these shawls I can add new techniques for other types of knitting. There are several techniques new to me that are well described with large photos. Scarves are very structural, many of them are based on buildings. Next time I see an odd shaped building I'll have to think about using it in a scarf! The colors used here are pretty dead, but there are some really interesting scarves that which well-chosen colors can really brighten. I am most interested in a scarf that uses i-cords in the weaving. Short rows are often used to create interesting spirals. The level of difficulty varies, but even a beginner can do a few of these and then move on. Finding the yarn you need is fairly easy as it is mostly worsted although it is a bit more expensive than the others here. The choice of the knitter. I'm not very fond of color photos, but the technical details the author made while knitting are really good. Also, a good spiral binding would be a better choice than this one. Each scarf is presented by the author so you can understand why it was made the way it was. Very good book and the first review here made me buy this book. Thank you and thank you Revain for these reviews as I mostly buy invisible. The level of difficulty varies, but even a beginner can do a few of these and then move on.
