This is not an AM BCB DX radio but for the price it works very well. FM is good too. It's not really an analog setup, it's a digital DSP setup, but with a physical analog meter - so you can hear it lose and regain weaker signals step by step, which together with the very rough setup makes tuning a bit difficult can make. . The red "TUNE" display only makes sense for stronger stations and should not light up for weaker ones. You can pretty effectively reset stations by turning the radio, which is a good thing. On mine the markings aren't very close to the actual frequency - tuned into a station of 630kHz the display reads 700kHz. The sound is thin, as you would expect from a small speaker at this price point. For a budget radio station, however, this is excellent. I would buy this again.
