Bought a set of 2 wick soy candles from Costco. Too soon the wicks burned to the ground leaving me with a jar containing most of the wax. I melted the wax and after it hardened, I simply inserted a couple of wicks with a tiny screwdriver. When I lit them they burned properly AND melted the wax around them (unlike standard wicks) so they didn't burn holes straight to the bottom and wasting the candle. Another store-bought candle would cost me as much as a ball of wick, so this is a good way to take full advantage of poorly built store-bought candles.
