Review on Gamepad Microsoft Xbox One Controller, white by Kio Flyx ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a bad product, but you can find a better one.

The first revision of the Xbox One turned out to be controversial. Playing on a PC in 2022 (when the console was launched in our country) in wireless mode was impossible. Well, ok, then they launched a huge receiver for sale. The first revision was so-so, because there were inflexible bumpers, they were not pressed on the sides. There was no feeling of nextgen, because the gamepad has changed in small things. The most pleasant of them is that the battery compartment no longer sticks out so much. Then there were two revisions, in 2022 they redesigned the bumpers and added a 3.5 output, in 2022 they removed the glossy plastic next to the Xbox button and made this surface the color of the gamepad. There is also a texture on the back surface. Even at this time, a reduced receiver for the PC was released. The controller experience has gotten better, but it's still typical Microsoft taking the battery and charging cord out of the box and selling them separately. And if you want a new experience, then if you please, get an elite controller for a lot of money. According to the final third revision of the Xbox One controller, I can say that for some reason it began to be considered heavy, but everything suits me (not everyone will agree). The triggers are subjectively better than for the Xbox 360, the buttons are also pressed with effort, which is cool. But I don't like sticks. Outwardly, they look more spectacular, in fact, my fingers completely fit into the hats of the Xbox 360 sticks, but here there is no such effect, which is why there is no such control in shooters. This is the biggest fail, in my opinion. Bumpers are still cheaply made. In the past generation, we got a gamepad with minor improvements, which turned out to be neither. But you will still use it on PC because you have no choice. It’s not from the Chinese to run pads under warranty to hand over. I forgot to mention one more fat minus that in 2022 gamepads were of so-so quality. I passed two gamepads before I found my option. The first had a dot on the Xbox logo, and the second was simply crookedly assembled, due to which one part of the case cut the palm (tin) with its seam.

Pros
  • + Proven design + Best choice for PC + Hidden battery compartment
Cons
  • - The gamepad was rebalanced in comparison with the version for Xbox 360, somewhere better, somewhere worse - There's basically nothing to choose from on PC and you'll have to buy a receiver and battery for the full experience - Cheap bumpers - Subjectively small caps on the sticks - The latest versions suffer from build quality
