I purchased this to use for oxygen cleaning scuba equipment. This light is perfect! It makes any foreign matter fluoresce brightly. The best part about using this light for SCUBA is that it fits in the neck of tanks & can be suspended from the lanyard, thus giving a much more thorough view inside tanks for 02 cleaning. The light itself isn't "bright" because of the wavelength, but it's not supposed to be! In a darkened environment it is more than strong enough for workbench use. I haven't had to recharge the battery yet, as my use is typically momentarily on & off. Also haven't had an issue with it getting hot, though some heat can be felt after a few mins of continuous use.
