They believe that the rapid onset of a white screen on this webcam is indicative of a fundamental flaw, but other than that, it's perfect. I believe she overheated after continuously broadcasting for six hours (I disassembled it and found that it was hot, albeit there were no outward symptoms of damage). Fortunately, she outlived my expectations by several years, and she more than paid for herself. Sure, I only used it for about half an hour a week to video chat with my folks before I went into quarantine. Unfortunately, she only lived for around three months until she passed away. Maybe it's all about how often and how hard you use it. It's a shame, considering this is one of the best inexpensive webcams I've seen. You can try to make a purchase and hold out hope that everything will work out, but I'd rather not. No similar concerns have been documented with the C310, however it does have a high defect rate and other hardware faults. I'm very sorry, but Logitech was my favorite.
