i was struggling finding a docking station for use with my Surface Book 3 that would allow me to use 3 HDMI monitors. i have a USB C x 3 HDMI adapter that worked fine but it took up my only USB C port. i took a chance (with low optimism) that the USB A 3.0 x 4 HDMI adapter would work for me based on all the trouble i had previously finding a workable solution. couldn't have been easier or more straight forward! just plug the thing in and go! no dirvers, software or anything else needed. i even incorporated a powered USB A 3.0 hub to add ports and everything works better than i could have asked. now i have an open USB C port i can use for other reasons (if i even need to).
